Whether you're cruising lush landscapes in one of our TRD Sequoias or soaking up the sun in an open-air GEM cart along the South Shore’s stunning beaches, we have your ideal setup for adventure and comfort. Our price range is wide, with a fleet that includes everything from economical 8 seater minivans, to lifted, new model, surf-rack adorned Odysseys, we can accommodate your budget and your appetite for adventure. With gear options like surf and boogie boards, chairs, coolers, sports equipment, camping gear, you name it, we have everything you need to experience any adventure on the Garden Island.

Our adventure rigs include:

  • Large Format Vans and SUVs: Perfect for families, groups, or anyone needing extra space
  • Open-Air GEM Golf Carts: Enjoy the fresh island breeze as you navigate the North or South Shore in one of our fun, electric GEM golf carts

Gear rentals:

  • Foam-top surf boards, boogie boards, stand-up paddle boards, beach gear (two chairs/one umbrella), yeti coolers, fishing gear, car seats, beach wagons…you name it, just ask.
  • Meg and Hannah’s guide to the Garden Island is available upon request for every trip, for free. Your personalized, up-to-date guide book on the best way to explore the Garden Island.

How it works at Lihue airport: Located right next to the Lihue airport, with no long Turo shuttle or 45 minute car rental wait times (can be as long as 3 hours in the summer). Kauai Cars will either call you an Uber, shuttle or reimburse you for a short ride to our warehouse (normally no more than $8). We find it easiest if a driver of the group heads to the rideshare area while others snag bags.

Important details:

Valid Drivers License, Proof of Insurance and Credit Card required to rent

Minimum Age to rent is 25 for a vehicle, 21 for a GEM cart

Exceptions for named full coverage auto policy holders younger than 25

Renters must be sober and remain sober while operating our rentals

We allow cancellations up to 48 hours in advance
